Dwan, Warner and Stone bag Woodbury Park triumph

Poor weather reduced the field for the seniors’ roll-up, writes Carole Pye.
The format was a three-man Nip and Tuck stableford (two scores to count on pars four and five, but only one to count on par threes).
The winners were Ray Dwan, Peter Warner and Alan Stone on 80 points, ahead of Andrzej Sobczak, John Man and Tim Rufus on 76.
The mid-week stableford competition was won by David Freeman with an excellent 41 points, closely followed by Neil Rice on 40.
Playing a Four Ball Betterball, 48 players took part in the weekend competition which proved very close for the first five places.
David Ledger and Pete Wells won with 46 points just edging out the next four groups all coming in with 45 points.
After count-back over the last six holes, Robert Finch and RalphKarkeek were declared the runners-up.
