Two players played leading roles as Budleigh sealed a three wicket win with eight balls remaining at home to Hatherleigh.
Cephas Zhuwao thumped a ten boundary (six fours and four sixes) 66 from just 47 balls faced and Rob Newman hit an unbeaten 42 from 69 balls with half-a-dozen boundaries.
Visitors Hatherleigh had batted first and closed on 220-5 with Chris Jelley scoring a superb century.
Andy Proctor was the star of the Budleigh bowling effort as he claimed all but one of the five home wickets to fall. Proctor finished with figures of 4-37 from 10 overs and the other wicket was snared by Rob Newman who went form just 25 runs in the 10 overs he sent down.
Proctor was not able to influence proceedings with the bat however as he fell to the 10th delivery of the reply and was returned to the pavilion without troubling the scorers. Ben Phillips and Elliott Rice also made swift returns to the Ottermouth dressing rooms to leave the hosts 44-3 after 11 overs.
Cephas Zhuwao was joined by Sam Richardson and the pair added a quick-fire 81 in 82 balls before the big Zimbabwean was dismissed.
Rob Newman was next in and he saw the side over the line with his unbeaten knock with skipper Joel Murphy the other unbeaten batsmen with 12 to his name.
Budleigh are sitting third, 29 points adrift of second placed Cornwood. However, Cornwood still have to play leaders Brixham and they also face a meeting with fourth placed Bradninch whilst the Budleigh run-in, they face three of the current bottom four, Lewdown, Bideford and Tavistock and also go to Sandford.
