WOODBURY were beaten for the eighth time in nine E Division outings when they went down to Upottery, losing by 111 runs.

The visitors batted first and made their way to an imposing total of 161-6.

Kevin Miller was the most successful of the home bowlers as he claimed 3-67.

Martin Cook (38) and Dave Allen (28) were the only home batsmen to then make any real impression in the post tea session with the final Woodbury wicket falling on 155.

On Saturday the villagers begin the second half of their campaign with a daunting trip to table topping Countess Wear.
