Woodbury last pair set new League mark

Woodbury went down to a 78 run defeat at Roborough, but not before they had set a new League best for the final wicket.

The South Devon side batted first and scored 219-5 with Woodbury skipper James Taylor and Kevin Miller both bagging a brace of wickets.

The reply was in all sorts of bother at 78-9 but then the last pair, Tim Greenslade and number eleven batsman, Ian Hughes, proceeded to post a new Devon League E Division best for the final wicket, putting on 68 before Greenslade went for a fine battling 62. Hughes was the not out batsman on 22. The reply closed on 141 but were able to take away, as a huge positive, that new League best.
