Topsham St James 2nds make bright start, then it all goes so badly!

Topsham St James 2nds ended up on the wrong end of a ten wicket defeat when they met Kenn II.
It had all started so well, for the Saints with skipper Mike Tracey spanking three delightful fours off the opening over.
However, ambitious hopes of a 300 plus score were quickly dashed as, after adding a single to his total Treacy was sent back to the pavilion and there began a lengthy procession of team mates to join him! On what looked a superb Bonfire Field batting track all ten Saints wickets fell, with just 86 on the board with 19 extra’s the top score!
Visiting Kenn needed just 14.3 overs top romp to a ten wicket win.
Topsham have now been on the wrong end of two successive thrashings, and must hope that they can upset the odds this coming Saturday when they face high-flying Exmouth III who beat them comfortably earlier in the season.
