EXMOUTH 2nd XI went down by nine wickets when they met table-topping Sidmouth on Saturday afternoon.Batting first, only Lawrence Greenway (25) and Michael Collinge (21) were able to make any sort of impression as the home bowlers enjoyed near total dominance with Exmouth bowled out for 114.Post tea, the direction of play was still very much in favour of the home side as they lost just the one wicket in a successful run chase, one that ended with the score board showing 117-1.Exmouth II, this coming weekend, host a North Devon II side who sit two places and 33 points better off than them in the table.Saturday marks the half-way stage of the season for all Devon League sides and so Exmouth II will look to finish the first half of their programme with a flourish.Meanwhile, Exmouth III were once again treated to a superb innings from Julian Page. Seven days after he had stroked his way to a classy century he hit 67 as he and Anish Chouhan (92no), led the side to a competent 253-5.Then Mike Elliot (4-26) and Richard Arnold (3-27) saw to it that opponents Upottery were bowled out for 174 to leave Tom Sampford's side winners by 79 runs and sitting very nicely in 3rd spot in the table heading towards the half way stage this coming weekend.
