TOPSHAM St James skipper Brian Bosomworth was not sure how to take Saturday's events as his side banked a maximum haul of points without bowling a ball in anger.Scheduled hosts Culmstock cried off citing an inability to raise a side with many of their players off at a Rugby Sevens tournament and so Bosomworth and his side had an afternoon off.The skipper said: "It is a case of delighted that we have 20 more points but on the other side it is disappointing that we have not been able to go out and earn the points through playing."With both Filleigh and Kenn winning, the North Devon side banking 18 points and Kenn taking a full house, it leaves the Saints in 3rd place, six points behind Kenn going into this Saturday's home game with Newton St Cyres. With Filleigh hosting Kenn it is a real opportunity for Bosomworth's side to climb back into the promotion places against a side who have won three and lost three of their opening eight games. This weekend is, of course, the half way mark in the campaign across the Francis Clark Devon League.
