Read slams unbeaten ton as Clyst St George II soar clear at top of the D Division West table

Clyst St George are still seeking a first D Division win of the season after they went down by four wickets at unbeaten Yelverton.

Chris Ferro top scored with an unbeaten 51 as the villagers were bowled out for 138.

Ferro then bagged a brace of wickets, but the home side got home with four wickets to spare.

The Clyst St George 2nd XI are enjoying very different fortunes and they are one of two teams in the 2nd XI D Division (West) to have won all three of their games so far this season. Win number three came at home to Paignton III with the winning margin being 115 runs!

Tim Read was the star of proceedings stroking a superb unbeaten 126 in a home total of 255-8. Ed Chudley then claimed four wickets as the visiting side were bowled out for 140.

On Saturday Clyst St George 1st XI host D Division table topping Babbacombe whilst the 2nd XI travel to Babbacombe II who sit fourth, already 30 points below the villagers!
