Randall-Johnson hits another half century.

CLYST St George 2nd XI went down in a thrilling encounter on Saturday, beaten in the final over by hosts Shobrooke Park 2nds.

Batting first, Clyst St George were led to a competitive close of 229-8 thanks to another fine knock from George Randall-Johnson (52) and a similar super innings from Allan Welsh (67).

The hosts then took on the run chase but wickets were being taken at regular intervals and it was not until the final over of the day that the home side claimed a two wicket win, closing on 231-8.

This weekend Clyst St George begin the second half of their League campaign with a Bohea Field game against Bideford II.
