CLYST St George II travelled across to Heathcoat II where they went down by nine wickets, their fifth defeat in seven outings so far this season.

Batting first, it was only a battling and confident knock of 41 from George Randall-Johnson, who was responsible for very nearly half his entire team’s offering, that enabled Clyst to limp to a closing total of 95.

The hosts sailed to a nine wicket win with the game being over before 6pm.

This weekend Clyst, who, despite being one of two sides in the Division yet to win a game and actually sit fourth from bottom, are at home to fourth placed Braunton.
