Exmouth III served up an excellent run chase to bag a six wicket win over Topsham St James II.

It was another century from the bat of Julian Page that led the Maer men to their ninth win in eleven E Division East outings and they remain second in the table, eight points shy of leaders Halberton and Sampford Peverell II and ten clear of third placed Cullompton II.

Topsham batted first and closed on a competitive 239-7 with Jack Sergeant claiming three wickets and Ed Marks bagging a brace.

Page then hit an unbeaten 116 whilst Dave Grant chipped in with 52 and young Sergeant completed a fine all-round effort with 29 as the wining line was crossed in some comfort. On Saturday the thirds travel to Seaton III.
