Tim Owen's excellent all-round contribution could not prevent Woodbury suffering a fourth defeat in five games this E Division season.

WOODBURY were forced to taste the bitterness of defeat for the fourth time in five outings when beaten by Tiverton and Bickleigh by 155 runs.

The game, played at C9lmstock, saw the home side bat first and plunder an imposing total of 329-6.

Tim Owens proved to be the most successful of the Woodbury bowlers with 3-70.

Owens then hit the replies top individual offering, his splendid knock ending just three runs shy of what would have been a hard earned, and richly deserved, half century.

Owen apart, wickets fell at regular intervals, leaving the Woodbury reply all done and dusted for 174.

This weekend Woodbury travel to Honiton and, after the game, will have completed the first third of the E Division schedule.
