Woodbury under-14s went down by just 13 runs to Honiton.

Honiton batted first and scored 110-8 with the pick of the Woodbury bowling being Eddie cook with a three wicket haul for 19 runs. Connall Deehan-Jackson (1-20), George Jarman (2-20) and Liam Clarke (1-8), were the other wicket takers.

A feature of some very good Woodbury out fielding was the standard of catching. George Jarman held two superb diving efforts and Liam Clarke held a cracking catch on the boundary.

There was also a smart piece of fielding by Eddie Cook to force a run-out.

Woodbury replied with 97-8 with George Jarman completing a fine all round effort with the side’s top score. Jarman hit three fours in a knock of 13 and the next best was 11 from Riordan Deehan-Jackson.
