Gwen Parks holds onto splendid catch as Woodbury Under-12 defeat Clyst Hydon.

WOODBURY were winners by a margin of 36 runs when they met Clyst Hydon in an under-12 game.
After winning the toss and opting to bat Woodbury were led to 122-3 from their twenty overs by an excellent unbeaten 30 from Michael Cooper who hit four 4’s in his innings.
The best of the supporting acts came from Sam Corney with 17 and also Gwen Parks who hit a brace of 4s in a knock of 17 and William Bird struck an unbeaten 11 towards the end of the innings.
Clyst Hydon were then restricted to 86-7 in their twenty overs as Tom O’Shea claimed three wickets to finish with figures of 3-32.
Jacob Macllellen took 2-12 and there were single wickets for Zac Macllellen and Connall Deehan-Jackson.
A highlight in the Woodbury spell in the field was a wonderful one handed diving catch by Gwen Parks whilst Zac Macllellen also showed good hands holding on to a smart catch.
