EXMOUTH Under-11s were well beaten by Ottery St Mary who claimed victory by 35 runs.Batting first the Otters marched to a close of 164 for the loss of just one wicket, thanks to the efforts of George Southall-Brown (30 ret'd) and George Holt (30 ret'd), the pair putting on 54 in double quick time. Ben Phillips then marked his impressive first game for the side with 30 before he, too, retired and the final pair to bat for Ottery added 30 runs in just three overs thanks to Josh Loud (4no) and Dan Pyle (20no). Johnson Goddard was the one Exmouth player to claim a wicket as he finished with 1-20. There were no fewer than 46 extras in the Ottery total.Ottery opened up with under-9 bowler Jack Katene and he did very well to take 2-2. Tom Hinch (1-3) and Harry Conway (1-2), also took wickets whilst Oli Reed sent down two very accurate overs which did not yield a single run!The only Exmouth batsmen to put bat to ball were Felix Northover, Felix Tyson and Devon Short and of the team total of 29, 20 came in extras!
