Following the great success of the inaugural McKinley White Twenty20 Cup, Clyst St George Cricket Club will once again stage the Finals Day.

Last years inaugural finals day provided some wonderful cricket with the Devon League Champions Sidmouth taking home the cup following a stunning hundred in the grand final from Devon star bat Neil Hancock. The 2009 Final will be held on Sunday July 5th and the entry numbers have increased this season with Topsham St James, Countess Wear, Seaton and Clyst Hydon all coming on board. The first round draw sees local derbies with Clyst St George up against Topsham and Seaton entertaining Axminster. The Devon Premier and 'A' Division clubs have a bye to the 2nd round where Exmouth, Sidmouth and Exeter will be looking to secure a spot at the finals day. As in 2008, the competition will feed into the County Twenty20 and therefore ultimately provides a route for the winners to appear on Sky Sports in the National Club Twenty20 finals day in September. Last year's event was clearly enjoyed by all players and spectators and proved to be an excellent fundraiser for the village club.
