EXMOUTH Cricket Club are staging an important Twenty20 game next Wednesday (June 30) when they take on Countess Wear.

The game is to decide which team goes forward to play in the East Devon area final of what is a National T20 competition.

The side who is successful at the East Area finals day, being held at the County Ground, Exeter where the respective winners of the East, West, North and South areas will be on parade, then heads for the West of England finals day which will bring together the respective champions of Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and South Wales with that finals day being held here in Exmouth at the Maer ground!

So there’s a huge incentive for Exmouth to set themselves up to play in the West of England Finals that will be played on their own ground.

First up though is that all important East Devon area meeting with Countess Wear next Wednesday evening.
