Exmouth are preparing to travel to face third bottom Abbotskerswell as the Maer men's promotion push gathers momentum.

Richard Bagg's side remain unbeaten five games into their second season in the A Division.

One interesting statistic is that Exmouth have not batted first in a game since the opening day win at Sandford. The stand-out performer with the ball is winter signing Chris Metters who has spun his way to 19 wickets whilst there is a real consistency through the batting order.

Baggs is leading by example having already mustered 300 runs and Trevor Anning has chipped in over 200 in the first five outings. Already the Maer men have hit three half centuries, one century and also had half a dozen scores between 30 and 50 this term.

A win at Abbotskerswell who have been beaten in four of their five outings so far, will see Baggs and his men proudly top of the table after one third of the season has been completed.
