Exmouth Colts back into the Maer Ground nets

PUBLISHED: 17:11 15 April 2015 | UPDATED: 10:56 16 April 2015

The ever popular training sessions for Exmouth Colts start at 6pm this Friday (April 17) at the Maer Ground.

Under the watchful eye of head coach Sandy Allen, the former Warwickshire and current Devon and Exmouth wicketkeeper, the colts will be put through their paces.

Introductory sessions will be available for the first couple of weeks for a small charge but if a colt remains interested then they will be asked to join the club as a junior member to help meet the overheads of running the sessions.

These colts will be able to compete for a place in one of the five colts team run by the club. Dependent on the number of helpers who are available, age ranges for these sessions will cover from 7-8 to 16. A brand new bowling machine, provided with generous grant aid from the Gibbons family trust, will feature in the sessions as will the recently opened, new nets.

Members of the club are also reminded that subscriptions are now due and new fixture cards and car parking passes will be with them shortly, on renewal. Potential new members may get further details on how to join, on line, at www.exmouthcricketclub.co.uk or contact the membership secretary Amanda Schaufler at a_schaufler@hotmail.co.uk (01395 272150)

The next matches at the Maer Ground, this weekend, feature a friendly game on Saturday at 1.30pm between the Exmouth second and third elevens and on Sunday Devon CCC host the University of Exeter, with that game starting at 11am.
