Exmouth-based Nelson Cricket Coaching all set to get underway with local sessions

Nelson Cricket Coaching is an exciting new venture which has been started by former Warwickshire County Cricket Club and current Devon player Sandy Allen.

Nelson Cricket Coaching are passionate to develop cricketers of all ages and abilities to acquire their full potential.

Allen set up Nelson Cricket Coaching in 2012 with the aim to introduce people to the game of cricket and also to enhance the ability of players in the South West.

He says: “Not only do I have a desire to help improve the ability of the players in the South West but I would also like to provide a quality coaching service available for all players. With this in mind I feel I have developed a wide range of cricket coaching programmes to benefit individuals, schools and clubs.”

Nelson Cricket Coaching will be working closely with a number of schools in an d around Exmouth and also are running the colts sessions at Exmouth Cricket Club every Friday night.

The first if those session at the Maer is on Friday, April 19 with a 5.30pm start when anyone with an interest in cricket is invited to get along and see what’s happening.

Nelson Cricket Coaching are also running an Easter cricket camp at Exmouth Community College on April 11 and 12 from 10am to 3pm aimed at children from the ages of 10 to 14.
