BUDLEIGH got the better of Topsham St James in an Under-11 game, winning by 40 runs.
BUDLEIGH got the better of Topsham St James in an Under-11 game, winning by 40 runs.Batting first, the Ottermouth side scored 107 for the loss of just four batsmen and then restricted the visiting side to 66-7.Ed Doble top scored with 31 before retiring and then James Wright chipped in with 16. Cameron Robison and Max Mitchell were the wicket takers - two other wickets fell to run outs - and the Topsham St James reply was done and dusted with the score on 66-7.Once again it was Mitchell (10) and Robison (9) who were the principle run scorers, whilst Joe Gore was the star of the Budleigh bowling with 3-5 from four splendid overs.Charlie Parkin took 2-3 and there were single wickets for Finlay Marks and Alistair McIntosh. Finlay Marks also took a couple of catches, one a smart one off his own bowling and the other out in the outfield.
