Creer and Creer guide Clyst St George to victory over Sandford

Clyst St George are now 10 points clear of the three D Division East relegation berths after a second successive win, this time a six wicket home win over Sandford 2nds.

All six bowlers called into action claimed at least one wicket as the visiting side were bowled out for 153. Bertie Creer took the honours with figures of 3-29 and there were two wickets each for Sam Read and Chris Ferro, the latter returning impressive figures of 2-0 from three overs!

The Bohea Field men needed just 30.5 overs to chalk up a fourth win of the league campaign. Opener Freddie Creer carried his bat for an unbeaten 56 and Chris Ferro completed a fine all-round afternoon’s work with 34.

On Saturday, Clyst St George will seek a third straight win when they travel to fourth placed Barnstaple and Pilton with the North Devon-based side sitting three places and 26 better off than them.
