Cooper hits top score then holds three catches as Woodbuy under-12 defeat Honiton.

Woodbury were 69 run winners when they met Honiton in an under-12 game.

Batting first, Woodbury made their way to a healthy 140-5 with Michael Cooper providing the top score of 25 in which he thumped three huge sixes.

Gwen Parkes struck three boundaries in a knock of 16 and Tom O’Shea chipped in with an unbeaten 10.

The Honiton wicket takers were Harry Lesk (1-17), Blake Fremantle (1-25), Toby Nicholas (1-18) and Tom Olive (1-17), whilst Charlie Wright held a brace of catches.

The Honiton reply closed on 71-8 with Ashley Munt and Jake Davis both scoring nine.

Conall Deehan-Jackson was the star of the show for Woodbury, claiming 4-14 and there was a splendid return of three wickets for with runs from Ben Abrahams.

The other Woodbury wicket taker was Michael Cooper who finished with 1-0.

Young Copper also showed his all-round prowess taking three splendid catches, one a magnificent take on the boundary line.
