Clyst St George went down by six wickets to Barnstaple & Pilton, writes Conrad Sutcliffe.

Jayakrupakar Nallala top scored for CSG with 48 in their total of 226 for nine.

Nallala took time to get started and saw James Edworthy (28) and Steve Bourke (39) come and go before he started to accelerate.

Stands of 45 with Andy Donovan (30) and 69 with skipper Harry Attwater (32) followed.

Ben Jackson made a lively 21 not out of 13 balls at the end.

Jack Moore (3-53) shaded the B&P bowling returns from Lee Cole (2-40) and James Lake (2-48).

Skipper Steve Moore bowled nine overs for 20 runs, all but two of which were scored in singles.

The target came down to 207 to win after a shower held up play and B&P got there with time to spare and wickets in hand.

George McEndoo (51) and Sam Blithell (26) got the chase started, Jack Moore (28) and Cole (31) kept it going and Tim Norton (25) was joined by Steve Moore (23) in an unbroken stand of 53 to finish it off.
