Archant

Clyst St George II are yet to win a game this term but they were seemingly on their way to a shock success at one all conquering Ipplepen II.

Paul Laverick (55) and Sean Middleton (49) had led the villagers to a very respectable 199-9.

Mark Johnson then claimed 3-23 as the home side were in all sorts of trouble on 23-6!

Then the hosts numbers seven and eight bats took centre stage and, with no further wickets lost, they made it home to claim victory and seal a sixth straight win whilst the unlucky Clyst side have now gone six games without a victory this term.

Next up for Clyst St George II is Saturday’s Bohea Field meeting with bottom of the table Ivybridge and, with the visitors having lost all five of their games they have played so far then this weekend presented the Bohea Field men with areal chance to break their duck this term!
