Exmouth recorded a second successive Tolchards Devon league Premier Division win thanks to a superb contribution with ball and bat from all-rounder Andrew Buzza in what was eventually a two wicket win at North Devon.

Bob Dawson, captaining the side in the absence of Richard Baggs, won the toss and opted to field and saw the home side closed on 232-7 after their 50 overs.

It was first change Buzza, who topped the bowling with his return from a full shift of 10 overs being 3-32. The other Exmouth wicket takers were Sam Harris (2-51 from 10), David Lye (1-41 from 10) and Bob Dawson (1-32 from six).

The Exmouth run chase was wobbling a little on 138-4 when number six batsman Buzza walked out to the wicket, but he was till there at the close, unbeaten on 43 as the Maer men sealed a two wicket win with 11 deliverers of the contest remaining.

Buzza faced 38 balls and struck three fours and two sixes. When Alvin Pollard, batting at 10, joined the all-rounder, Exmouth were 216-8, but Pollard stuck around for 11 deliveries scoring an unbeaten eight to help Buzza see the Maer men over the winning line
