Budleigh CC honour the club’s colts after a super season across the board

After a hugely successful season there was a large attendance for last Fridays Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club Colts presentation evening.
Club president Lord Clinton was delayed on business in France and he was represented by his son The Hon Charles Trefusis who is also a member of the club.
Somerset Cricketers Craig and Jamie Overton were present to help with the presentation and photos . Matt Cooke, Cricket Development officer of the Devon County Cricket Board was also present.
A total of 140 certificates, medals and commemorative plaques were presented to the colts academy members together with the individual team awards .
The individual team award winners were:
Under-11s: Batting - Louis Hayman; Bowling - Rory Craib; Fielding - Sam Moudiotis and the U-11 Manager’s Award winner - Sam Rice.
Under-12s: Batting - Ross Sheal; Bowling - Ben Bolwell; Fielding - Will Oxland and the U12 Manager’s Award winner - Milo Goodwin-Coombes
Under-13s: Batting - James Doble; Bowling - Max Mejzner; Fielding - Lucas Richardson and the Under-13s Manager’s Award - Henry Wastenage
Under-15s: Batting - Ed Doble; Bowling - Devon Short; Fielding - Alex Taylor and the Under-15s Manager’s Award - Joe Gore.
The club were also presented with their renewed ECB Clubmark accreditation certificate. Club Secretary Kevin Curran said: “The ECB are constantly raising the bar on standards for Clubmark accreditation. Clubs who attain this standard are recognised as being well run, showing a commitment not only to junior cricket, but also to coaching, raising the standards and the development of the game. We are delighted to have once again met all of this criteria.”
The Budleigh senior awards take place this coming Friday (September 12), ater which the clubhouse will close.”
