Woodbury Under-11 hard ball pairs were beaten by Clyst St George with the winning margin being a single run!

Batting first, Woodbury made their way to 178 for the loss of just one wicket.

Sam Corney and Ben Matten put on 15, Zac McLellan and Tom Hubble added 22 and the best combination on the day was that of Tom Bird and William Bird who put on 34.

Clyst St George made steady progress in their run chase and, at stumps, had lost just the one wicket, a run-out, and that came off the very first delivery of the innings.

Clyst needed three runs to win off the last over and scored the winning run off the last ball of a thrilling contest.
