CLYST St George 2nd XI slipped to a two wicket defeat at home to Chudleigh II in a low scoring affair.Steve May provided the top score as the home side laboured their way to 114, but then some heroics with the ball very nearly saw that total sufficient to win the game as the visitors were eight down when they edged past the winning line.Once again, skipper Oz Besley was leading by example and, this time, it was with the ball as he took 3-10, and with Nigel Hardy claiming 3-47 the pair very nearly bowled their side to victory. The 2nd XI B Division table does not make for pleasant reading for Clyst St George followers as they sit bottom with four defeats. They will look to break that sequence when they travel up the North Devon Link Road to face a Barnstaple side who have also failed to win any of their first four games.
