Anning hits out and Exmouth march on

Exmouth chalked up yet another victory and also strengthened their grip on the A Division of the Francis Clark Devon League.
It was another fine all round display with bat and ball that saw the Maer men to an 84 run win over Barton.
Trevor Anning (pictured), led the way with the bat as Exmouth scored 260-6.
The in form David Lye was again amongst the runs with 46, skipper Richard Baggs hit 34 , Andy Buzza struck 29 and Chris Metters chipped in with an unbeaten 22 as the home side closed on 260-6. Matters and Lye then both took three wickets as Barton were bowled out for 176.
Second placed Heathcoat were held by Cornwood, third placed Sandford banked maximum points with a win over Abbotskerswell whilst the other maximum points winners in the section were Torquay, who beat South Devon and Alphington, who beat Tavistock.
