The season is now in full swing at Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club with All-stars and Dynamos busy producing start of the future.

The BSCC ladies Softball team kicked things off with a good win over Exmouth, with Captain Hattie Real leading the charge. A great performance by the bowling unit taking five wickets before the Budleigh batting unit scored 109 for the loss of no wickets - Becky Fagg top scoring with 22. Ladies training on Tuesday evening at 6.30, all ages and abilities welcome.

The U12s had three fixtures, starting with a cup tie against Culmstock. Culmstock, who are an excellent side and won by 22 runs. The U12s then took on Ottery St Mary and won by 14 runs to move second in the league table. Monty Slack got batter of the match for his not out 17, and Millie Picton was bowler of the day for a very tidy spell.

Topsham St James were next. (Alex Roper 31 retried and Ben Picton 30 retried), along with a quick fire 13 from Isla Dixon got Budleigh to 151. In reply, Topsham were bowled out for 75. Theo Campbell pick of the bowlers and Alfie Gray superb behind the stumps.

The BSCC U14s played Clyst St George in the league and scored 109 for 4 off their 20 overs. Rory MacDonald (25), Max Jasper (24) and Jack Larmour (24no) top-scored and Ted McCaffery also chipped in with 13no. In reply, Clyst St George ended up on 65 for 9 off their 20 overs; Jack Ponting with four wickets, two wickets for Mawgan Sharp and one each for George Mills, Tom Eaves and Otto Salih. George Dale also bowled well on the day.

The U15s took on Exmouth in the league and gave a great account of themselves by limiting Exmouth to 153. A strong start by the openers (Max Jasper (38) and Joel McDonald (13) gave Budleigh hope but Exmouth held on for the win.
