Madeira ladies travelled to Heavitree for a match in the Exeter District League.

Each team won on one rink and lost on the other. However, Madeira took four points towards the end of season rankings, against two points for their opponents, by virtue of having the best overall score.

Pat Harris with Pat Boman, Christine Macaulay and Eileen Bagley lost a close encounter to a score of 15-19.

However, Sandy Cox skipped her team of Jean Rainton, Kate Andrews and Jenny Smith blistered to a 25-9 victory.

In Club Singles competitions Norma Cureton meets Christine Macaulay, and Jan Roberts faces up to Jacky Howle in the 2 wood semi finals.

In the three wood semis, Liz Healy will play Jan Roberts and Eileen Bagley will encounter May Dyson.
