IN THE Over-50s league, Budleigh, at home against St Thomas, collected the full six points with wins on both rinks.

Ann Cottle (Skip), with Pat Pearson and Teresa Rivers, were in charge from the sixth end, winning 21-8.

Margaret Ratcliffe, Jan Watts and Celia Mangeng (Skip) had a great start, 11-0 ahead after eight ends, but then their opponents got on the card and made a game of it before the Budleigh trio closed out a 16-7 victory.

A second Over 50s league match saw Budleigh visit Pinces, but both rinks lost to the home side and so no points obtained.

Our congratulations to Maggie Dance on reaching the last 16 in the County Singles and also, together with partner Bobbie Vanstone, the semi-finals of the County pairs.

In Club competitions, Margaret Ratcliffe and Joan Shaw will face each other in the 2 Wood final.
