Exmouth sailor Ben Cornish has thanked his sponsors, without whom he would not be able to continue his journey to what he hopes will be top honours in the world of sailing.
EXMOUTH sailor Ben Cornish has picked up another local sponsorship.
The talented young laser sailor has been sponsored by Exmouth bike shop, Knobblies who have supplied him with road bike which will allow him to train his physical fitness in order to reach his full sailing potential.
Cornish said: “I was so happy to be offered this chance and would like to thanks the full Knobblies team especially owner Chris, for making this possible. I am currently spending a few days in Weymouth in the run up to next weeks British Leg of the ISAF World Cup which is due to be a record entry with over 170 lasers all competing in this Grade one event, also being run as a test event in preparation for the 2012 Olympic games.”
Following the Sail For Gold event next week, Ben is then competing for Great Britain in the World Championships from, August 28, and he says: “I am really so grateful to my sponsors, Cranford Sports club, Exe Wake and Knobblies Bikes for their continued support as it is their generous help that is providing me with real support as I aspire to get where I want to be and that route is made a mighty lot easier with the sort of help these companies afford me.”
