With the Exmouth Snooker League entering its final round of fixtures, the Conservative Club holds a handsome lead, due largely to beating the Police Social B by five frames to nil on three of their four encounters.

John Sharland 71-58, Iain Callander 84-67, Tim Parker 78-49, Dion Newcombe 66-55 and Dave Lance 68-65 kept the Police B rooted at the foot of the table.

East Budleigh are second, despite consecutive defeats on the Police Club table. Barry Bentley 76-32 won their sole point against the defending champions, Police A. There, Carl Rowsell 82-47, Rob Pow 57-45, Pete Abrahams 65-35 and Mike Delahaye 79-67 have faint hopes of retaining their title, even with two games in hand.
