The City of Exeter Regatta is being staged next weekend.
The Saturday, July 9, event will once again take place over a short, and tight, 400m metre stretch of the River Exe.
With crews racing three abreast, they will have to adopt a different approach to their usual race plans.
Exeter Regatta is one of the most popular on the regional circuit and provides spectators with excellent areas for viewing.
The start line is by the weir at the Port Royal with the finishing line by the ferry at the end of the straight.
The Regatta begins at 10.30 with races then scheduled to go off every three or four minutes throughout the day.
There are events for men and women in almost all categories and size of boat from Junior 13 singles through the Senor A eights.
Further details can be obtained from Dave Wood the Regatta Secretary who is contactable on (01626)834494.
