With Rugby in a state of lockdown, along with the rest of the country, methods of keeping players involved have taken on new importance.
The Under-15s from Withycombe RFC ran with this and organised a Zoom training and Q&A session with former England captain Chris Robshaw.
The 66-cap (43 as captain) legend took time out, before his move from Harlequins to San Diego, to talk to the Withy youngsters about rugby and how to still progress during these challenging times.
It was also an opportunity for the players to ask more general questions and hear stories on the lighter side of a rugby professional’s life, like what meal he eats before every game, his career highlights and toughest opponents he has faced.
All enjoyed the hour with the star and came away with some handy knowledge and a rugby memory made. More of these interactions are planned for the future with different professional players and coaches.
