Cameron enjoys success at East Devon

Eilidh Cameron was the runaway winner of the first ladies county stableford of the year at East Devon Golf club, writes Helen Chivers.

Cameron topped Silver Division by three clear points with a level par 36 points as the years competitive golf got underway at the Budleigh Salterton club on January 13.

Elaine Bright claimed second spot with 33 points, two shots clear of Anne Boyle in fourth. Ladies’ vice captain Rosemary Pratt and Linda Knapton both scored 30 points, with Rosemary taking fifth place on countback.

Sally Shackleton was the winner of the Bronze Division with a score of 33 points. Marilyn Gerrard was second with 32 points, one shot ahead of Pippa Norman in third. Sarah Jones just pipped Shirley Horsburgh to fifth place on countback as both players scored 28 points.
