BUDLEIGH travelled to Chardstock for a Top Club fixture and won by four rinks to one.

In the two-wood singles, John Lowe was taken to 30 ends before emerging victorious by 21 shots to 19.

In the other disciplines, skips Ron Tyler and Alban Chase also won by a single shot apiece, while the triples team of John Dill, Harry Vanstone and Alan Cottle finished with a flourish, taking a six on the final end to win 24 - 13.

In the Over 60s' Triples League the Budleigh B team entertained Okehampton C but failed to add to their points tally, losing 25-43.

The C team, looking for a third successive win, also came unstuck, losing to Tiverton Bowls Club 26-41.
