The format for this competition is known as ‘One Ball’, a fast and exciting variant of croquet.

Much fun on the lawns led to a hard fought final.

The other participants relaxed in the sunshine to watch Norman Upchurch and David White eventually defeat Elaine Marsh and Margaret Brett, winning two of the ‘best of three’ games.

Alan Marsh was finalist Elaine’s husband, and she donated the handsome trophy in memory of the many happy hours they spent at the club before his death in 2013.
