Ralph Lawson, Jeff Rigg, Ken Hudson and Ken Freeman provided the most dominant performance, winning 25-9 and John Dance, Dave Helman, John Dill and Denis Graham were just as emphatic winners with their 29-11 victory.
There was a tight finish to a match with another touring side with AD-Finem eventaully beaten 97-75 in a match that saw Budleigh claim outright wins on three rinks.
This was a match that ebbed and flowed, Budleigh were three shots behind after eighteen ends but fought back to claim their narrow victory. Three rinks were level towards the latter stages of the match, including Brian Hubbard's foursome of Archie Autton, Gordon Smith and Don Huish who, after being tied at eighteen all with three ends to play, went on to win 24-20.
Peter Woodlands rink of Rob Jerrard, Peter Brown and Jeff Rigg were also level at 18-18 but scored five shots at the last without reply.
In the Exeter & District Over-60's League, Budleigh A visited Culm Vale and returned home with maximum points, winning on both rinks to claim a 37-30 victory.
John Dance, Tony Stone and Harry Vanstone were the lynchpins of the success, they led their match from start to finish to win 18-12. The triple of Ron Tyler, Gerald Roberts and Mike Reader held on to win a closely fought contest by a single shot, closing out the game 19-18.
Budleigh A also claimed a home victory over Okehampton 50-29, this despite losing on one rink. In this match the triple of John Dance, Tony Stone and Harry Vanstone scored an emphatic 35-7 victory which included a seven on the tenth end.
In the County Trophy Budleigh were beaten by Sidmouth 80-74 despite sharing the rinks score at two all. John Lowes' quartet of Gerald Roberts, Harry Vanstone and Burgess Stace scored a six on the nineteenth end en route to a 28-19 victory. John Dance led the other Budleigh rink of Alban Chase, Ralph Lawson and John Dill to a 20-19 win.
In the Top Club compeition, Budleigh scored a resounding 21-14 victory over Feniton, this after being down in the early stages John Dance powered his way to a 21-11 win and the triple of Gerald Roberts, Rod Davidson and John Dill were 17-13 victors.
