Budleigh ladies enjoyed a couple of days of good weather to play their latest matches in, writes Joan Shaw.
Against Shaldon ladies, in the Exeter and District Over-50s League, Marilyn Jackson, together with her team of Joan Shaw and Jill Pond had a very tight game finishing with 20 shots to each team!
However, the overall victory was Budleigh’s as the other rink of Diane Dixon, with Ann Vincent and Joan Cowing, had been 17-all after 17 ends, but picked up a four on the 18th to win by four shots.
Budleigh entertained triples from Exonia, Ottery, Phear Park, Sidmouth, Madeira and Honiton for their Jubilee trophy round robin.
Diane Dixon continued her winning streak from the previous day with her were captain Bobbie Vanstone and Jill Pond finishing plus 17 shots to win the trophy , the best away team were Phear Park.
