The progress of Budleigh Salterton Ladies has been a major success story over recent seasons and the club is showing a determination to ensure all that hard work continues in the future.
“Budleigh Ladies have been our most successful team over the past few years,” said chairman Matt Hughes. “Dan Carthew was the manager before joining the men’s team and Nick Long has taken over to continue the good work.
“There have been lots of players signed on and it’s a really exciting time for the ladies. There is lots of interest and it is so important for a community club to have a thriving ladies’ team.
“For me as a chairman, it is just as important to have a successful ladies’ team as it is to have success on the men’s side of the club.
“If numbers continue to grow, a reserve team might be a possibility.”
