Archant

Budleigh Games Club has a group of ladies who are defying the ageing process to continue to play tennis.

The four ladies’ combined ages add to up a wonderful 316 years!

The eldest of the four is Connie Widows, still playing tennis at the grand age of 94.

That leaves her some 10 years older than the next eldest, 84-year-old Wendy Watkiss.

Then comes Sheila Pink at 74 and the youngest of the group, 64 years young – is Su Randell.

The question we’d all like to know the answer to is – is Connie the oldest active tennis player in the county?
