Thirty members, including two possible new recruits, attended the Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club joint outdoor annual general meeting held last Sunday, writes David Roberts.
This turnout represents a marvellous response and, in a lively meeting, members stepped up to bolster the outdoor committee for the next summer season.
Whilst more help will be needed on captaincy and selection duties next year, the club can now go forward with confidence as plans were put in place to focus on recruitment, sponsorship and fee structure as these areas are crucial to ensure the immediate future of the club.
The club have targeted to increase the outdoor membership by 15 new members over the coming weeks and plan recruitment days and a focused advertising campaign.
