Budleigh Men’s bowlers came unstuck when they entertained a touring side last week.
Budleigh hosted the Southhall and District touring side in a seven rink mixed friendly, writes Paul Griffin.
At the half way stage the hosts held a six shot lead at 60-54 but the visitors rallied and produced an excellent fight back over the second half of the match to win 139-117.
The tourists won on all but two of the six rinks.
The home sides winning rinks were Tony Lim, Gordon Smith, Doreen Dealler and skip Archie Autton who won 30-14 and Ron Tyler’s rink of Margaret Butler, Bernard Brace, and Rita De Selincourt who were 17-15 victors.
