Eleven members of the Exmouth Sea Angling Association took part in the Overall Length competition held at Budleigh Salterton, writes Rob Pennells.
What was most pleasing for the organisers was that there were three new members taking part!
On a cold night with a calm sea there were plenty of fish caught.
The bulk of the catch was whiting, pout and dog fish.
At the weigh in everyone had caught fish with the winner being declared as Andy Browning with 11 metres and 68 cm.
Ken Williams took second place with 820cm and third spot went to Mike Richardson with 636cm.
