BRIXINGTON Blues under-11s notched up their biggest ever league win, trouncing Crediton Saints 15-1, to go nine points clear at the top of the Exeter & District Youth League U11 Division One table. Blues opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Glen Davison drove home Josh Mingo's parried shot, then ten minutes later Jordan Howlett sent Mingo clear for him to fire under the keeper and double the advantage. A powerful end to the first half saw Blues add three more in a two minute spell. An Ed Doble cross was guided home by Mingo and the same player netted from close range to complete a first half treble before Cameron Deighton poked home after a defensive mix-up to make it 5-0 at half time. Immediately after the restart Harry Moxey slammed a dipping 20 yard free kick into the roof of the net and three more followed in the space of two minutes from Doble, Davison and Deighton. Howlett then added his name to the score sheet with a close range blast and Deighton set off on a weavy run down the right before cutting in to slot home at the near post. Saints pulled one back midway through the half when the ball was crashed home at the far post after a tidy left wing raid, but order was restored less than a minute after the restart when Howlett got his second to make it 12-1 with a low shot under the keeper. Three late goals from Deighton, Ewan Anderson and Mingo, with his 4th, added extra polish to an overwhelming victory.
