Brixington Blues Under-7s played in their first home tournament of the season.
The young Blues, together with in-house club colleagues, Brixington United, played some terrific football in the regular round-robin of matches.
Coaches Rich Ralph and Stevie Newton have developed sides that showed discipline and structure well beyond their young age, and the boys put on an excellent display for a large crowd of spectators against teams from Honiton, Feniton, West Hill, Ottery St Mary, and Axminster.
Special thanks must be recorded to the Brixington Blues Under-14 players, who were on hand to help ensure the smooth running of the morning, putting up goals, refereeing games etc. Brixington Blues club chairman Richard Taylor said: “It is great to see such enthusiasm and fun being enjoyed through football - the future looks bright for our club”.
Chairman Richard presented the Man of the Match awards after the games had been completed.
