Brixington Blues U12s were caught cold at Heavitree Pumas, conceding the first goal came from a quick attack down the right. Before the Blues could regroup, the home side headed in a second.
Brixington didn’t panic though and hit back when Theo Wright played the ball out of defence to Jack Gibbins, who slid the ball through the middle for Riley Gibson to muscle his way thought the heart of the home defence and release a rocket into the top of the net.
The Blues level soon after when Jack G picked the ball up in midfield and let fly with a sweetly struck shot that gave the keeper no chance. The same player then popped up again and, with almost an identical strike, saw the ball fly into the top corner.
Great Brixington defending and goalkeeping by Ethan Gibson repelled the Heavitree attack after the break and the Blues secured the win with an angled shot from Riley G.
